
We should do a better job getting Ohio-grown and raised foods onto the dinner tables of Ohio families. Because Ohioans spend about 43 billion dollars every year on food, but only 3 percent of that spending goes to products from Ohio farms. Moreover, too many Ohioans live in neighborhoods where fresh produce is hard to find or impossible to afford.

A shared good processing incubator is able to provide growers and entrepreneurs, not only with a place to process & package their products, but also with a full spectrum of the supportive services that are necessary for establishing and maintaining their food business enterprises.
Shared food processing facilities provide a place for growers & other entrepreneurs to process and preserve their crops, by canning, freezing, & using them to create value-added food products.
